What We Believe: Bringing Science and Faith Together
We believe we are living at an amazing time in history! As scientists discover more about our universe, we see a growing harmony between their discoveries and the creation story told in Genesis 1, the very first chapter of the Bible. We believe this harmony is a wonderful gift from God, the Creator of the universe, to everyone living today. It gives us a special opportunity to see His wisdom and power in ways that earlier generations could only imagine.
To us, this growing connection between science and the Bible points to an exciting and powerful truth: God Himself is the ultimate source of the creation story in Genesis 1. We believe this truth can become the foundation for a new way of learning – one that brings together the best of faith and science to help build a brighter future.
Our vision for education rests on two strong foundations.
The first foundation is the wisdom and goodness of God, revealed throughout the Bible and most fully through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. His example teaches us the importance of love, kindness, honesty, forgiveness, and doing what is right. These values can guide our choices and help us use our knowledge to make the world a better place.
The second foundation is the incredible knowledge that science has given us. Through science, we can explore the wonders of the universe, understand how nature works, develop amazing technologies, and improve people’s lives. But knowledge is powerful, and that power brings responsibility. The same scientific discoveries that can help people can also be used to harm them. That is why wisdom and goodness must guide how we use what we learn.
Our greatest hope is to bring these two foundations together: the wisdom to choose what is good and the knowledge to make a difference. We dream of a future where more and more people not only understand the amazing world around them but also choose to live with love, compassion, courage, and purpose. By bringing faith and science together in education, we hope to inspire a new generation of curious minds, caring hearts, and wise leaders who use their gifts to make the world a better place.
